Scottish MND Register now online
12 August 2016
We are delighted to announce that we are now able to offer online registrations to the Scottish MND Register.
The register was set up to collect and store statistical information about MND patients in Scotland. This information can then be used to audit MND care standards and compare geographical areas. The register also allows people to express an interest in taking part in future research projects and donate their DNA for research purposes.
Judith Newton, Consultant MND Nurse, said:
"The Scottish MND Register is vital for us to monitor the number of cases of MND in Scotland, as well as allowing people living with MND to have direct accesss to MND researchers. Since 2010 the research team has registered 72% of all known MND patients.
We want to do better than this, we want to aim for 100% so please sign up either online or ask your MND nurse for details"
Register your details online, and a member of the research team will then be in touch with you regarding signing the relevant consent form.
