Another first - our successful open evening and craft fair

20 March 2014

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who joined us at our recent Open Evening, which raised £300 for the Anne Rowling Clinic.

Around 70 people visited the Clinic to hear more about our research projects. It was an informal yet informative evening which we hope that everyone enjoyed and found beneficial.

Representatives were on hand from:

• The Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic

• The Euan MacDonald Centre for MND Research

• Muir Maxwell Centre

• Patrick Wild Centre

• Research to Understand Stroke due to Haemorrhage

I didn't know what to expect but everyone was so friendly and although it was all so informal it was also really informative.  It was good for me too not to feel like the "odd one out" as everyone there was either affected by or working with neurological conditions.

Thanks too for including us in your tour of the Centre; it is such a beautiful building and nothing like a hospital at all.

Many thanks also to our stall holders for sharing their talents and goods with us; all stall holders donated a fundraising raffle prize (which contributed to our £300) and for which we are very grateful.

If you couldn't make it to this event but would be interested to learn more about our work, we are intending to hold similar information evenings on a regular basis. Check back on our events page or sign up to our mailing list.
