22 May 2013
We are very pleased to welcome three new members of staff to the Anne Rowling Clinic team. They are really helping the Clinic to feel like a busy, thriving and dynamic place to be.
Anne Heron: Clinical Support Worker
Anne has 24 years’ experience working in various hospital and care settings. These include hospice care, AIDS final care, oncology, drug and alcohol misuse, mental health, phlebotomy and social care.
Anne has quickly become an indispensable member of the team, helping to keep the Clinic running on a day-to-day basis. She supports patients during their appointments, provides clinical assistance and phlebotomy and conducts patient health checks.
Ruth Nicol: PA
Ruth is the half-time PA for the Clinic, providing essential administrative support all day Monday, all day Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Ruth has worked as a secretary/administrator/Student Support Officer at the University of Edinburgh since 2008.
Laura Stephenson: MND research nurse
Laura is a research nurse with a 17-year background of genetic counselling and community nursing. Her role is to run the MND register and to ensure the connected research studies are available to patients.
Laura says “I’m looking forward to learning a lot from our patients and their families and I’m very pleased to have the opportunity to be involved with a such a dynamic research Clinic.”
