A Tough (Mudder) way to fundraise

4 September 2013

On August 24th, Beth Vokurka took on the Scottish Tough Mudder for the second year running.

BBeth Vokurka and team-mate Lee Curtiseth completed the 12-mile course in Dalkeith Country Park with 17 of her Puddle Muddlers team mates, braving plunges into ice, electrocution, leaps off of 15' platforms and many more SAS-devised obstacles designed to test both physical and mental strength...all with mob cap and bloomers still intact....

Beth is a fourth generation MS-sufferer, who has been diagnosed with MS half her life. She has been taking part in endurance events to raise money for MS-related charities for the last two decades, despite having to deal with symptoms such as fatigue, vertigo and mobility issues in her right side. Through this latest event, Beth has raised £550 for the Anne Rowling Clinic to date.

We would like to thank Beth wholeheartedly for her amazing effort!

It's not too late to sponsor Beth! Visit her fundraising page at https://edinburghuni.workwithus.org/Fundraising/Donate.aspx?page=8067
