Welcome to new Rowling Scholar, James Cameron
25 September 2013
We would like to welcome the newest member of our team, Dr James Cameron. Dr Cameron is a clinical ophthalmologist with an interest in retinal disease and retinal imaging. He has been appointed as a Rowling Scholar and thus will be undertaking his PhD at the Anne Rowling Clinic.
Our eyes can reveal many things about our health, and new evidence is emerging that the eye truly is a window into the brain. Nerve damage at the back of the eye appears to be related to the nervous system as a whole.
Dr. Cameron's experience with new eye scanning methods will allow him to investigate this further, and he hopes this may herald new insights into MS and other neurodegenerative diseases.
